Summer is here and our students are excited about the opportunities before them. This summer our students will be “Building a Band”. The students will learn real world skills that surround the production of the music entertainment business. They will be challenged to setup sound, lighting and venues the entertainment industry performs in.
Through our partnerships we will expand our young people 12-21 in the areas of music development, stage readiness, sound and lighting. For 9 weeks our students will prepare and present music presentations throughout the city this summer. The band that is formed will remain throughout the year and will continue to meet and perform in order to create consistency and a sense of responsibility and timeliness.
Over the years, Optimum Elite has reached nearly 53 students, but this year promises to be transforming! We look forward to spreading joy, and love through music and media. Our ultimate goal is to leave our students with skills that will allow them to retain jobs and give them real world experiences to use on resumes.
We encourage you to support this summer work and in return our band can perform at your event over the next year. Our students clearly have a desire to learn. They have incredible ability, and we couldn’t be more proud of them!
